UCSI University is a comprehensive university in Malaysia's capital of Kuala Lumpur. At the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, UCSI offers medicine, pharmacy, engineering, information technology, applied sciences, business, architecture, music, social sciences, creative arts, and hospitality.

UCSI University History

Dato' Peter Ng founded UCSI in 1986 as a computer training institute in Petaling Jaya. To accommodate growing student numbers, it quickly relocated to new premises in Kuala Lumpur, and more academic programmes were added. The Ministry of Education (Malaysia) granted UCSI college status in 1990, university college status in 2003, and full-fledged university status in 2008, making it Malaysia's second private university. Previously, the institution was known as Sedaya.

UCSI University Campus Facilities

UCSI University has four campuses, three of which are major educational providers in Malaysia's various locations. The main campus is in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, and the other two are in Kuching, Sarawak, and Terengganu, Malaysia. All of the campuses are located in areas where you can easily access buses, stationery stores, restaurants, and cafes, among other things.

Kuala Lumpur campus facilities

This is the institute's main campus, where the majority of programmes and facilities are available to students.

The campus includes a library and resource room, a conference room, a multipurpose hall, an auditorium, a discussion room, a training room, and study space, among other things.

There are applied science labs, architecture labs, creative arts & design and hospitality facilities, engineering labs, music & mass communication facilities, medicine, and social science & pharmacy labs on the campus.

Sports facilities on campus include a gymnasium, a badminton and basketball court, a swimming pool, and so on.

Other common amenities include a cafeteria, student support, malls and shops, and so on.

Applied sciences, business and management, engineering, technology and the built environment, hospitality and tourism, medicine and health sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, social sciences and liberal arts, creative art and design, computer science and digital innovations, and music are among the programmes available on campus.

Terengganu Campus facilities

This institute's campus is one of the best in Malaysia, located on the beautiful east coast. This campus has  multipurpose halls, lecture theatres, conference rooms, a student lounge area and TV rooms, a library, a volleyball and tennis court, a futsal court, a gymnasium and cafeteria, and student rooms.

The campus offers academic programmes in the subdomains of business and management, medicine and health sciences, and pre-U studies.

Kuching Campus Facilities

This campus in Kuching, Sarawak, provides students with a dynamic and stimulating environment. The facilities available are as follows:

A counselling room, board room, housekeeping suites, culinary and pastry lab, learning and digital hub, library and resource room, gastronomy lab, restaurant training, and front office training (hotel receptions), student lounge, off-campus accommodation, gymnasium, swimming pool, and discussion area are all part of the campus.

UCSI University Fee Structure

Tuition fees at UCSI University range from RM 24,810 to RM 429,500 for the entire programme, depending on the programme and sometimes campus. UCSI University Trust Scholarship, UCSI University Trust A-Level Scholarship, UCSI University Trust SACE International Scholarship, UCSI University Trust Graduate Scholarship, Graduate Assistantship, and UCSI University Trust Education Grand 2021 are some of the scholarships available at the institute.

  • On the basis of merit, the Institute awards scholarships to deserving international candidates to study in Malaysia. Because scholarships are limited, candidates must face an interview in order to be considered for them.
