The University of Bristol is a red brick Russell Group research university in Bristol, England.It received its royal charter in 1909, but it has its roots in a Merchant Venturers' school founded in 1595 and University College, Bristol, that was in existence since 1876. Bristol is divided into six faculties of academics made up of several departments and schools that offer more than 200 undergraduate programs which are mostly located situated in areas like the Tyndalls Park area of the city.The university earned an overall earnings of PS752.0 million between 2020 and 2121 in which PS169.8 million was generated from the research contracts and grants. It is the biggest independently owned employer within Bristol. Current faculty members include 21 fellows from the Academy of Medical Sciences, 13 fellows of the British Academy, 13 fellows of the Royal Academy of Engineering and 44 fellows of the Royal Society. Among faculty and alumni, there are nine Nobel laureates.

University of Bristol Campus

Bristol does not have a central campus and is spread out across a large region. The majority of its operations, on the other hand, are focused on the "University Precinct" in the city center. Some of the buildings on the University of Bristol's campus date back to the university's pre-charter days as University College Bristol. These structures were planned by Charles Hansom and were constructed in phases owing to budgetary constraints. The Wills Memorial Building was the University of Bristol's first large-scale construction project after receiving its charter. The structure is "extraordinary in scale," according to architecture critic Roger Gill, but the "ambiance of a medieval university seemed curiously absent." He goes on to call the structure a "sham" and a "folly." The armourials on the Founder's Window reflect all of the stakeholders involved in the University of Bristol's creation, including the Wills and Fry families. Royal Fort House, the University of Bristol Botanic Garden, numerous huge Victorian residences that have been adapted for teaching in the Faculty of Arts, and the Victoria Rooms, which house the Music Department and were created by Sir Christopher Wren, are among the other prominent structures and places. Planned expansion

The university stated in November 2016 that it planned to create a £300 million Temple Quarter Campus near to Bristol Temple Meads train station within the Bristol Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone, with a capacity of 5,000 students. The new campus will open in 2021 and will contain a business school, digital research facilities, and a student town. There are proposals to renovate Tyndall Avenue, pedestrianize the surrounding neighborhood, and construct a new library and resource center on the current site.

Student services
