Southern Cross University HIstory

After several years of discussions that began in 1959, Lismore Teachers College (shown at right) opened its inaugural year on Monday, February 23, 1970. It had 151 students and was mostly a single-purpose college. The Higher Education Act 1969 designated Lismore Teachers College as an University of Advanced Education on September 1, 1971.

The Computing Terms of Usage at the University limit your use of University Systems to activities that are not directly connected to your research, study, or administrative duties.
