Princeton University

Princeton University is a private Ivy League research university in Princeton, New Jersey. Princeton University, founded in 1746 in Elizabeth as the College of New Jersey, is the fourth-oldest institution of higher learning in the United States and one of the nine colonial institutions chartered prior to the American Revolution. The institution relocated to Newark in 1747, and subsequently to its current location nine years later. It became a university in 1896 and was christened to Princeton University.

Princeton University Campus

The main campus in Princeton, New Jersey, consists of over 200 buildings spread across 600 acres (2.4 km2). The James Forrestal Campus, a smaller facility established primarily as a research and instruction complex, is divided between Plainsboro and South Brunswick. The campuses are about an hour's train ride from both New York City and Philadelphia.
