University of East Anglia (UEA) History
Earlham Golf Course on the suburbs of Norwich was chosen as the permanent campus location after building began in 1960, and work began in 1961. The institution was founded in 1963, and its first class of 87 students was admitted to the current University Village, which has a teaching capacity of roughly 1200 students.

Student Life
The Student Support Center's student support counselors offer a private and nonjudgmental environment in which you are free to discuss anything that is interfering with your ability to be your best student. In student support services, we collaborate with various services such as mental health Wellbeing Advisors, counselors, disability Wellbeing Advisors, finance, and learning improvement teams. Other university departments, such as Teaching and Learning Services, are also in contact with us (LTS).
Housing Services
We are pleased to provide a variety of housing options for our students. We strongly advise you to attend one of our Application Days, during which you will have the opportunity to see our housing blocks and some of our rooms.
Our historic residences, the Ziggurats, were named among the top ten greatest examples of university design in the country by the Architects' Journal. Over 4,300 completely equipped rooms are available in spacious on-site structures set on 200 acres of natural surroundings.
Library Service
The majority of our physical collection is exposed to the public on our main shelves, which are dispersed over the library's five reading rooms.
ICT Service
UEA's Wi-Fi network is known as eduroam (education roaming). eduroam is a secure, global roaming access service designed for international research and education.
When you begin studying or working at UEA, you will be given an IT account.
Medical Service
Medical treatment will be provided by the NHS (National Healthcare Service) in the United Kingdom. Even if you paid the Immigrant Health Surcharge (IHS), you will still be responsible for paying for treatments such as prescription medications, dental treatment, eye tests, and any pre-existing ailments. To use the NHS, you must first enroll with a general practitioner (GP).

Campus Life
The University of East Anglia's campus is similar to a small town: it's big enough to find your bearings yet tiny enough to call home. UEA is a wonderful campus institution set in 20 hectares of lovely parkland with amazing on-campus amenities including ziggurats, the Sainsbury Center for Visual Arts, and a great student union.
Sports Facilities
Sport spark, one of the biggest athletic facilities in a UK institution, is something we are quite proud of. And being one of the largest, you have access to a wide selection of activities to improve your skills or try something new. Here are a few examples of games:
