In in 1899, Kingston University London was established in 1899 with courses in electric wiring, chemistry nursing, building construction as well as dressmaking and clay modelling. In 1926, the university was declared technical college from the Board of Education. It was in the year 1992 that the school was changed to Kingston University from Kingston Polytechnic.
