Chung-Ang University (also known as CAU (also known as CAU; also called. Central University) is one of the top private research universities located in South Korea. Accredited through CAU's Ministry of Education (South Korea), CAU offers a variety of bachelor's master's, doctoral and master's programs including the law school, international MBA programs, and medical school. It is comprised of 16 colleges for undergraduates and the 16 graduate colleges.
The school was initially a church-run one from 1918. CAU was transformed to a college for kindergarten teachers who were female in 1922. It was awarded the status of a university in 1953. The university celebrated its centennial in the year 2018. It is home to 33,600 undergraduates and graduates, 5,200 700 professors, and 500 additional part-time teaching staff.

Campus
- Seoul campus
Main Administration Building University headquarters is visible when you pass through at the Middle Entrance. This white building houses are the office of President as well as the Students Affairs the General Affairs and Public Relations Department are located.
Emancipation Square located in the middle of the campus is protected with Seorabol Hall, the Central Library and the Student Union Hall. The space is a favorite of students who want to relax as well as during celebrations.
Student Union Hall & Student Cultural Hall. This Student Union Hall is inhabited by student clubs and restaurants which include the cafeteria "Seulkimaru", and CAU Burger and stationery shops. There are also women's restrooms and travel agents, among others. In addition, the Student Cultural Hall is home to the student newspaper, UBS Broadcasting Network, and Chung-Ang Culture.
Engineering Building 2 complements the original Engineering Building. It is used primarily by students studying Computer Science and Engineering and Architectural Engineering, working in the design labs and computer labs.
Natural Science Building is made up of distinct red bricks. It is used with members of the Department of Physics, Chemistry, Life Science and Math Statistics.
Medical Building is spread across two locations near to the Student Union Hall and the Central Library consisting of Medical Building 1 and Medical Building 2.
- Anseong campus
Anseong Campus Anseong Campus is located in Daedeok-myeon, Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do. The second campus was created in 1979, following the acceptance of Chung-Ang as an university in 1948.
College of Art Precinct is comprised of four structures which include The Modelling Hall, Theatre, Crafts Hall, and Sculpture Hall. The College of Arts is an art school that offers ten genres of the arts of sculpture, literature and performance to design and visual. The classes are offered to students studying Creative Writing, Korean Painting, Western Painting, Arts & Crafts photography, dance, sculpture along with Industrial Design,
School of Music Precinct comprises three buildings within the School of Music Precinct: Music Building 1, Music Building 2 and a third one named Young-Shin Music Hall. This School of Music is mainly used by students studying Composition, Voice, and Orchestral instruments.
Lakeside Theatre is an outdoor stage that is built on the shore of a lake. It serves as an open-air venue for summer performances. The adjacent garden is furnished with benches and trees.
College of Biotechnologyand Natural Resources Precinct comprises five buildings within the Biotechnology and Natural Resources Precinct that include the Circular building(Won Hyunggwan), Biotechnology building 1, Biotechnology building 2, Biotechnology building 3, and an Living Modified Organisms Laboratory. This College of Biotechnology & Natural Resources is a major institution that provides research and biotechnology towards Chung-ang University.
