The University of Waterloo (also known as Waterloo, UW, or UWaterloo) is a public research university in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The main campus is located on 404 hectares (998 acres) of land in "Uptown" Waterloo and Waterloo Park. The university also has three satellite campuses and four university colleges connected with it. Six faculties and thirteen faculty-based schools conduct academic programmes at the university. With over 20,000 undergraduate students enrolled in the university's co-op programme, Waterloo has the world's largest post-secondary co-operative education programme.
