Six indicators are used to assess universities: academic and employer reputations, faculty/student ratios, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio, international student ratio, and international faculty ratio. 1. Universitat Freiburg
Universitat Freiburg is joint 10th in Germany. It ranks joint 175th globally. The university ranks 147th worldwide for academic reputation indicators. 21 Nobel laureates are associated with the university as alumni or faculty.
Universitat Freiburg was founded in 1457 and is Germany's fifth-oldest university. The university is home to more than 24,000 students, many of whom hail from over 100 countries.
2. Eberhard Karls Universitat Tubingen
Eberhard Karls Universitat Tubingen is joint 175th with Universitat Freiburg. It earns the highest international faculty ratio index score.
It is renowned for its Theology, Divinity, and Religious Studies course. This program ranks seventh in the QS World University Rankings By Subject 2020.
3. Technische Universitat Dresden
Technische Universitat Dresden, which rose six places this year to 173rd in the world rankings, has taken 173rd place in the global rankings. The university is one of Germany's most prestigious technology schools and ranks 120th in both faculty-student ratio and employer reputation.
The main campus of TU is in Dresden city center. There are just over 32,000 students at the university, with around an eighth being international.
4. Technische Universitat Berlin
Next, we'll be heading to Berlin for our next look at Germany's ten best universities. Technische Universitat Berlin is ranked eighth in Germany and 148th glohttps://www.ahecounselling.com/blog/education-in-germanybally.
It ranks 139th globally in employer reputation. This is a high score for the university. It is also a member of the prestigious TU9 Group, which includes many of the most renowned German institutes of tech.
5. Rheinisch-Westfalische Technische Hochschule Aachen
Rheinisch-Westfalische Technische Hochschule Aachen (RWTH Aachen) climbs eight places in this year's world university rankings to now place 148th, ranking 30th in the world for employer reputation.
RWTH Aachen has more than 45,600 students and 162 study courses and is Germany's largest technical university.
6. KIT, Karlsruher Institut fur Technologie
KIT, Karlsruher Institut fur Technologie, has fallen seven places to rank 131st this year. After falling out of the top five, KIT, Karlsruher Institut fur Technologie, is now sixth in Germany. KIT ranks 63rd globally in terms of employer reputation.
The university's goal is to make significant contributions to solving global problems in energy, mobility, and information. It uses research-based studies to prepare its 24,400 students to live after graduation.
7. Freie Universitat Berlin
Freie Universitat Berlin, which is still at 130th, has overtaken Karlsruher Institut fur Technologie for fifth place in Germany's university rankings.
The university is ranked 65th worldwide in academic reputation. It has a strong reputation in social science courses, especially the course of its politics, which currently ranks joint 19th.
8. Humboldt-Universitat zu Berlin
Humboldt-Universitat Zu Berlin is fourth in Germany for the second consecutive year. This year, the university has climbed three spots in the global university ranking. It is ranked 117th in the rankings and earns a top 50 spot in the indicator of academic reputation.
The university is located in Berlin and was established in 1810. It was also given the title of "Mother University." The university was associated with major breakthroughs in physics and other sciences by its professors. These included Albert Einstein. It has been associated with 55 Nobel laureates.
9. Ruprecht-Karls-Universitat Heidelberg
Up two spots in the world rankings, this year is Ruprecht-Karls-Universitat Heidelberg in 64th place globally and third in Germany.
Ruprecht-Karls-Universitat Heidelberg also takes the title of the oldest university in the country, founded in 1386. It is ranked in the top 100 for academic reputation and indicators of faculty-student ratio.
10. Ludwig-Maximilians - Universitat Munchen
Ludwig-Maximilians - Universitat Munchen ranked 63rd worldwide in 2021 for another year. It was established in 1472. The university has more than 50,900 students. International students make up 15% of its student population.
Ludwig-Maximilians - Universitat Munchen is 36th in the world for academic reputation.42 Nobel laureates have been linked to it.
