Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU or simply Seongdae, Hangul: seonggyungwandaehaggyo; Hanja: Cheng Jun Guan Da Xue Xiao ) is a private comprehensive research university in South Korea. The university's history dates back to the historical Sungkyunkwan, founded in 1398 and situated in the centre of Seoul. As the leading university within the Joseon Dynasty, it was controlled by the great code of government of the state with royal approval. It was revamped into an integrated university in the latter part of the 19th century and since then has greatly extended its curriculum offerings. The university is heavily involved in developing research primarily funded through Samsung, Hyundai, and government agencies. They produce top-of-the-line researchers, including Professor Park Nam-Gyu of chemical engineering, who was awarded the Clarivate the Citation of Laureates in 2017 by Clarivate Analytics, as well as Lee Young-hee from the department of Physics, Director of the Center for Integrated Nanostructure Physics within the Institute for Basic Science. The Humanities and Social Sciences Campus is situated behind Sungkyunkwan. The campus comprises buildings commemorating the 500th anniversary, Student Center, Central Library, Faculty Hall, International Hall, Business School, Home Hall, Dasan Hall of Economics, Toegye Hall of Humanities, Susan Hall, Law School and others.
Natural Sciences Campus
Samsung Library
The library is outfitted with the latest technology in digital media in which students can enjoy leisure activities like watching films. The library also provides CD player stations to entertain as well as a cafe open to the public and a sleeping area where students can nap when they are exhausted.
Learning Factory
SKKU Learning Factory is a student-run facility located at the Natural Sciences Campus in Suwon where ideas that are creative can be transformed into a prototype by made with 3-D printers and lasers, CNC routers, and Arduino. The facility was created as a part of The Fusion Based Creative Informatics Human Resources Development Team and serves as an environment where students can develop their ideas, and also build connections with other humans.

Myeongnyunhaksa that can house approximately 1,700 Korean and foreign student exchange and undergraduate students at the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus located in Seoul It is comprised comprising Korean student dormitories E-House G-House, K-House as well as foreign student dormitories C-House, M-House, and I-House and has male rental studio apartments available for students.

Bongnyonghaksa is a dormitory that can hold about 3800 students from undergraduate and graduate programs on the Natural Sciences Campus, consists of five wings which include the House of Benevolence, House of Righteousness, House of Propriety, House of Wisdom and the House of Integrity.

Myeongryunhaksa can house around 1,432 undergraduate international and domestic students on the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus in Seoul. It is composed in Korean students' dormitories (E-House G-House, E-House, and K-House) as well as international student dormitories (C-House I-House, C-House, as well as M-House).
Sports Facilities
The Physical Education Health Center was founded on March 5, 1963 , in order to oversee services like health consultations for SKKU faculty, students, and staff, as well as improvement of athletic performance and training athletes, among others.
