Imperial College London (legally Imperial College of Science Technology, Science and Medicine)is a research-oriented public university located in London. Imperial is a result of Prince Albert's idea of an area of culture which included its Royal Albert Hall, Victoria & Albert Museum, Natural History Museum as well as other Royal Colleges. It was in 1907 that Imperial College was established through a royal charter, bringing together three colleges: the Royal College of Science, Royal School of Mines, and the City and Guilds of London Institute. In 1988 The Imperial College School of Medicine was established by combining St Mary's Hospital Medical School. In 2004 the reigning queen Elizabeth II established The Imperial College Business School. The school is primarily focused on medical science, technology, science and business. There is the main campus at South Kensington, and there is an innovation campus located in White City. There are also schools and hospitals across London and the research field station located in Silwood Park. The college was previously an institution of the University of London, becoming independent at the time of its centenary. Imperial is home to an international community, including over half of the students outside of the UK and more than 140 countries that are represented on campus. Student staff, faculty and research associations include fourteen Nobel laureates, three Fields Medallists and Two Breakthrough Prize winners and 1 Turing Award winner, 74 Fellows of the Royal Society, 87 Fellows of the Royal Academy of Engineering, and 85 Fellows of the Academy of Medical Sciences.

South Kensington Campus
The main campus of Imperial College is located within South Kensington. The most notable buildings are The Business School, which is the main entrance to the college as well as The Queen's Tower, which sits within the campus as well as The Royal College of Science, and the Royal School of Mines. The college is home to a variety of restaurants and cafes, aswell in the student pubs.As an integral part of Albertopolis the cultural hub built on the ideas and vision of Prince Albert, the campus is surrounded by some of London's top tourist attractions, such as The Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Palace and museums such as The Natural History Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum and the Science Museum, and institutions like The Royal College of Art, the Royal College of Music, and the National Art Library.
White City Campus

Silwood Park Campus
Silwood Park is an academic postgraduate campus of Imperial situated in Sunninghill close to Ascot within Berkshire. Silwood Park is a campus of Imperial University. Silwood Park campus includes a center for research and education in the fields of ecology, evolution and conservation, set within the park of 100 ha, where eco-field experiments are carried out.
Hospitals at Campus
Imperial College London includes a number of teaching hospitals that are utilised by the School of Medicine for clinical teaching and medical research. All of them are centred on college-affiliated hospitals and offer catering and sports facilities. Every college campus has a library, including the Fleming Library at St Mary's.

Each year, more than 6,700 degrees are given to all four faculties in Science, Engineering, Medicine and Business.

The Imperial calendar for academics includes three terms: spring, autumn and summer.

The degrees offered by Imperial College include BSc, MSci, BEng, MEng, MBBS.

From these degrees, MSci and MEng are actually combined degrees, allowing students to pursue masters following the completion of the bachelor's degree and then earn an integrated degree.

The Union provides more than 250 student Clubs & Societies with more than 10,000 members. They're sure to have something to the table that you'd like to participate in. Of course, if you do not have the appropriate club, they will help you create one. As an alumnus of the Union, you are able to join any Union society or club. There are no limitations regarding who can join a particular club or how many clubs you are able to join (though it is likely that you'll be required to pay membership fees for the majority of clubs). All clubs are run by students elected to represent the interests of the members. You'll have a huge influence over the direction the club goes as well as the activities it participates in, and the level of involvement you are allowed to participate in.
