Fudan University Academic Programs
Undergraduate program
Fudan University has restructured its course system to meet educational objectives. In the arts and sciences, a course scheme of general education, specialised education, and basic education has been implemented. Students can receive education in a variety of fields thanks to general education courses, which cover a wide range of disciplines. All of Fudan's 70+ undergraduate majors have been divided into seven broad categories so that students can benefit from systematic discipline training on a larger scale.Course modules are determined by discipline systems and course suits, and credits are determined by course modules, according to the Education Scheme for Arts and Sciences. In this way, Fudan gives students more choices for their college education. In contrast to the traditional syllabus, the new module has reduced gross credits and class hours appropriately. It contributes significantly to the intellectual development of undergraduate students, exposing them to a wider range of knowledge, in addition to minor programmes and extracurricular academic activities.
Master's degree programme
Fudan University's Graduate School opened on November 6, 1984, and Shanghai Medical University's Graduate School opened on January 25, 1985. Both were among the first 22 graduate schools to reopen after China's universities resumed graduate enrollment. The two graduate schools of Shanghai Medical University and Fudan University were merged in April 2000 to form a new Graduate School of Fudan University. As a result, a multidisciplinary graduate education structure is formed, including humanities, law, sciences, engineering, medicine, and management.
