Concordia University

It was created by merging two major universities which were that is Sir George Williams University and Loyola College, Concordia University was established in 1974. The University is a publicly-funded research university that is located in the heart of the world class Montreal city Montreal, Canada. Academics

Students begin their studies at universities in September , or in certain cases, the months of January or the month of May. Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science

The Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science which was previously called the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science was named in honour of Concordia Alumna Gina Cody, who donated $15 million to the university in the year 2018. In in response, the university changed its engineering faculty and computer science to honor her which makes it the first engineering college to be named in honor of a woman in Canada as well as globally. In the year 2018, Maclean's assessed its programs as among the top in Canada.

Faculty of Fine Arts

The Faculty of Fine Arts offers 60 undergraduate programs or graduate degrees. It has nine departments as well as the four research institutes.During the academic year 2019-2020 it was home to 3,964 undergrad and undergraduate students within the faculty. One of the departments is the Mel Hoppenheim School for Cinema.It is officially referred to as MHSoC which is home to 250 students per year to studies in the areas of animation film, production, and film studies. John Molson School of Business

The John Molson School of Business (formerly the Faculty of Commerce and Administration) offers 18 distinct courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in five departments. The departments include Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Management, Supply Chain and Business Technology Management. In the academic year 2020-21, it had 9,915 undergraduate and graduate students , and the John Molson School has 56,000 alumni. It is the only school in America that has 56,000 alumni. John Molson School is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). It is situated in the LEED certified silver building.

There are two campuses at Concordia situated approximately 7 km (4 miles) apart the Sir George Williams Campus is the main campus that is situated inside the Quartier Concordia neighbourhood of Downtown Montreal within the city of Ville Marie; and Loyola Campus located in the residential neighborhood of Notre-Dame-de-Grace.
