Carnegie Mellon Institution (CMU) is a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based private research university. The university was founded in 1900 when the Carnegie Institute of Technology and the Mellon Institute of Industrial Research merged. The Carnegie Technical Schools, founded by Andrew Carnegie, became the Carnegie Institute of Technology in 1912, and began awarding four-year degrees. The Carnegie Institute of Technology and the Mellon Institute of Industrial Research, which had previously been a part of the University of Pittsburgh, amalgamated in 1967. The university has been run as a single entity since then.
Carnegie Mellon University Campus
The main campus of Carnegie Mellon is located five miles (8 kilometres) outside downtown Pittsburgh, between Schenley Park and the communities of Squirrel Hill, Shadyside, and Oakland. The University of Pittsburgh's campus borders Carnegie Mellon to the west. In Pittsburgh's Oakland and Squirrel Hill areas, Carnegie Mellon owns 81 structures.

Carnegie Mellon University Top Program
- The university's seven Schools and Colleges provide a variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees.
- Aside from conventional classes, the institution also provides interdisciplinary programmes for undergraduate students, such as the Bachelor of Humanities and Arts (BHA), Humanities Scholars Program (HSP), and Quantitative Social Science Program (QSP) (QSSS).

Carnegie Mellon University Admissions
With a 17 percent acceptance rate, Carnegie Mellon University admissions is the most selective. A SAT score of 1460 to 1560 or an ACT score of 33 to 35 is required for admission to Carnegie Mellon University. However, one-fourth of approved applicants received scores that were higher than these ranges, while the other quarter received scores that were lower. Carnegie Mellon University Scholarship
Undergraduate Students
International students pursuing undergraduate degrees at the university are currently not eligible for any type of scholarship or financial aid. You must pay the whole cost of attendance if you choose to attend this college. There are, however, a variety of alternative scholarships for studying in the United States that can help you make your education more reasonable.
Graduate students:
Many departments provide financial aid to students pursuing graduate degrees. However, you may need to contact the department for it, as the scholarship application is handled separately by the administration.

According to the university's own records, CMU has had the highest rate of job offers since 2008. Within three months of graduation, over 91 percent accepted a job offer, and 94 percent received a job offer within 90 days. 89 percent of respondents received offers from more than 35 companies, with 87 percent accepting.
